F. Yeah, 80’s Storm | I don’t always do fan art, but when I do… | HarperJaten.com
Love Harper’s work, and coincidentally, Harper has been a follower of this tumblr since almost day one. Apologies for taking so long to post this, but I picked a day where I got quite a few new followers to do so.
Welcome to the shrine, newbies!
First new Punk Storm of the year 2014! Got this piece from the incredible Jeremy Treece at this year’s Charlotte Mini-Con! God, I love buying art…
Storm and the Cairo Knives by Chris Brunner and Rico Renzi.
Print version of the grail piece Chris Brunner and Rico Renzi did for me…you guys should maybe hit them up to buy one so you can join the cool kids club.
This isn’t a part of my personal collection, but it’s a really cool Copic Marker drawing of Our Lady by Image Comics artist Todd Nauck. The mini storm cloud effect he’s got going here is pretty rad!
Absolute KILLER piece by Max Currie!!! This kid is up and coming, and did some phenomenal work here with inks and colors. Max really knows and lives punk culture, and it is definitely on display in this piece. You guys are doing yourselves a favor by checking him out!
.:Punk Rock Storm:. Here’s a sketch i did a couple months ago, finally getting around to posting it. Started off as a study and then turned into this awesome lady. I wasn’t sure what was missing, so to the stacks it went. As it got a few nods at NYCC and a recent love for ink wash grew, I finally gave it that polish it needed.
Shout out to my man Terence who runs the awesome PRS Tumblr , who already called dibs ;)

This is what incredible art looks like, ladies and gents. And yes…I got dibs, son.
Here’s a fantastic Punk Storm by Steve Ellis! I really love the use of white on the brown paper to make this image jump off the page!
Sorry it’s been awhile between posts, but I hope you guys are still digging them!
Ben Caldwell posted this “Bikini Punk Storm” as one of his daily warm-up sketches on twitter…I was finally able to scoop it late this summer, and good god this dude is good with the tonal pencils. I really hope he can make it to Heroes Con 2014 so I can buy more of his art!!
Ok…this week’s post is a little self-serving (by admission). I not only own (almost) all of the Punk Storm original art on this tumblr, but I also love to draw! This is my crack at her amazingness from early 2010…I should revisit her soon.
Next post will be back to our regularly scheduled program, I promise.
Hard-punk Storm action by Billy Fowler! This was a birthday gift to myself at this year’s Charlotte Mini-Con in January!
Billy’s effects and costuming on this piece really do it for me…those jacket folds and white highlights are just incredible. Billy really gives a sense of weight and depth to his pieces!
